Which collection suits which room
Seven collections sound like a lot of choice, and they are. The distinction is simpler than it looks, though: it runs along three questions — how the rug is made, what role it should play in the room, and whether a standard size fits at all.
Hand-knotted or machine-made
Six of our seven collections are hand-knotted or hand-woven. One is not: the Edition Collection is machine-made. That is not a flaw but a different answer to a different question — it is built for urban, everyday living and is correspondingly hard-wearing. We state it here anyway, because the difference is obvious in the showroom and tends to go unmentioned online.
How to judge hand-knotted quality yourself
The role in the room
A rug can hold a room together or set its tone. The quiet collections are made for the first, the patterned ones for the second.

Size first, pattern second
The most common disappointment in buying a rug is not a colour mistake but a size mistake: the rug is too small for the room, and that only becomes obvious once it is down. So it pays to settle the size before choosing the piece.
When no standard size fits
No room is standardised, and many floor plans take no standard size — a stair landing, an alcove, an overlong dining table. Every hand-knotted collection can be made to bespoke size and colour, up to 1.5 million knots per square metre.
