What Mostafa Khodarahm began in Zurich over 30 years ago, his children Negin and Ramin have built into one of the most respected names in designer rugs in Switzerland. The name NEGRA carries their story within it: NEGin and RAmin.

Negin Khodarahm grew up surrounded by hand-knotted masterpieces and the stories of her Persian heritage. Trained as a qualified architect with a profound instinct for space, proportion, and material, she joined the management in 2017. As Creative Director, she oversees product development and the entire German market. She curates NEGRA's collections with a discerning eye for contemporary design — always in pursuit of the rug that makes a room come alive.

Ramin Khodarahm
Ramin Khodarahm leads NEGRA carpet & home as Managing Director with strategic vision and a deep understanding of exclusive client relationships. As head of the Swiss market, he cultivates an extensive network. Raised among hand-knotted masterpieces and the stories of his Persian heritage, he learned from his father what it means to earn trust over decades. Today, he carries his father's legacy forward with conviction — positioning NEGRA as the premier address for designer rugs in the German-speaking world.

NEGRA is not an abstract enterprise — it is a family name. NEGin and RAmin: NEGRA. Over three decades ago, Mostafa Khodarahm laid the foundation with a vision that endures to this day: to unite Persian knotting mastery at the highest level with contemporary design. His children carry this legacy forward — with the same passion, but a signature all their own. Together, they have established NEGRA as a name firmly anchored in the Swiss design world.
Our Standard
A NEGRA rug is not simply a furnishing — it is the foundation of a room. We travel to the origins of the knotting art, collaborate with renowned designers, and create unique pieces with up to 1.5 million knots per square metre. This level of quality is unmatched in Switzerland.
In our gallery at the Handelshof on Uraniastrasse in Zurich, we present a curated selection — from antique collector's pieces and proprietary designer collections to bespoke commissions. Here, Persian tradition meets Swiss design standards.
